Hunger vs Anxiety Monster

*Digital Download*

Our children can often find it tricky to understand the difference between feeling hungry and feeling anxious.  Which can often lead to uneccessary eating.  Which unfortunately, if not dealt with at a young age, can lead to comfort eating and other food related issues.

This worksheet has been designed to promote discussion around anxiety as a feeling and offers an easy solution to begin to reginsise the differences.

Use this worksheet to

  • Start a discussion about the little emotion monster we have in our tummy's
  • Highlight that there are differences
  • Allow your child to begin to unpick their emotions
  • Regognise triggers to help spot signs of anxious hunger so you're able to offer an alternative to food
  • Promote development of your child's emotional intelligence
  • Build your child's ability to self-regulate
  • Deepen your connection with your child helping them to feel safe when talking about emotions

My products have been created as a supportive tool to help children improve their emotional intelligence. Allowing them to build resilience by boosting their confidence and self-esteem. Teaching your children ways to cope with the emotions they experience can also help them self-regulate.

Each product has been designed with therapeutic strategies in mind as I am a trained therapist, however, they DO NOT replace the advice of a medical professional. In the event of mental health concerns, seek a medical professional opinion.
