A little about me...

"A child's mental health is just as important as their physical health and deserves the same quality of support."
 Kate Middleton

Growing up things were tough.  I experienced the typical stresses child life throws at you, starting a new school, making friends, then falling out with those friends.  Unfortunately, I also had to deal with some pretty major traumas, including the death of my Dad and my best friend.

Childhood traumas, no matter how big or small, can be the starting point for many struggles which appear later on in life.  As an adult I have suffered from extremely low self-esteem, fearing I would fail if I went out of my comfort zone, next to no confidence in my own abilities and even bullying within the workplace.

I have a strong belief that if I had been involved in empowerment therapy and developed my own toolkit filled with strategies at a young age, alongside my Mum being offered support, that I would have been equipped and ready to deal with the challenges life presents us with.

My own recovery journey has inspired me to create and build the Future Footsteps Approach. An Approach that places our little people, the future generation, at its core.  Through offering support and guidance not only to them but also to those who care for and educate them.  When you invest in this approach you are offering your little ones the direction through which they can "step into their best footprints."
